Summer 2014 Outfits-The Kimono Style Cardigan

Flamboyant

Hey guys,
So I modeled for a photography project for my friend and lovely neighbor, Katie. She had to take pictures that relate to a certain word and for these photos the word was flamboyant.

We did this photoshoot at the beginning of the semester, hence the snow. This was actually during the coldest days of the year. The weather was severely below zero degrees and Notre Dame had to cancel class. And yes, I went outside wearing a bandeau in negative degree weather! Oh, the things I do for fashion.

I've been addicted to bandeaus and bralettes recently. I also have been wearing sports bras as tops, so definitely keep an eye out for a few outfit posts of me wearing sports bras. My school's bookstore is selling them for only $12, so I bought a lot lately.

Hope y'all had a great day,xoxo.

(Broke) Gossip Girl

 Photography by Jenn
Jenn and I yet again collaborated to do this photoshoot in Manhattan. Originally, Jenn and I were going to go to this event with Elle Magazine and Valentino, but we RSVP-ed too late and there was no more space. However, I already bought a whole outfit for the event so we decided to do a photoshoot in Manhattan and I brought along my best friend, Chantel, to join me. We had a lot fun, even though it was super awkward to pose in front of strangers while they stare.

I decided to pair this dress with white because I figured that black would clash too much. I decided to make the dress less formal, so I paired it with a moto jacket and low heels. These heels are the shortest heels I've worn in YEARS. I'm not even exaggerating.  I tend to wear stilettos, because I'm super short.

After the photoshoot, Chantel and I roamed around Manhattan acting like we were the cast of"Gossip Girl" minus the money. Hence the title.

It was such a fun day.

Hope y'all had a nice day, xoxo.

Dusty Rose

Hey guys,
This is just a quick post showing off my new moto jacket from 2B Bebe. This jacket was originally over $50, but it was on sale for $18. It's a dusty rose color with gold zippers and the material is quilted. Dusty rose, quilted material and moto jackets are a big trend for the spring and summer. I really like this jacket and I have so many outfits planned with it.

I'm home for nine days because of spring break. Can't wait to relax and catch up on my shows!
And look!!! All the pics are the same size except one, ahaha. I'm learning :)
Hope y'all had a nice day, xoxo.

Double Trouble (Guess who's back, back again) (Amber's back, back again)

Guess who's back?
It's so weird to be typing this right now after I took my long ass break from blogging. I missed this blog with all my heart, but of course school was overwhelming and took up the majority of my time. However, I promised myself that by March I will make this blog one of my top priorities again, so here I am!

I apologize that some of the pictures aren't the same size. I actually figured out how to do that during winter break, but I forgot. I'm horrible at the technical stuff when it comes to blogging.

These photos were actually taken for my school's fashion show. If you didn't know, I attend the University of Notre Dame and each year a student organization, the BCAC (Black Cultural Arts Council) holds a fashion show. Don't let the name fool you, anyone can walk in the show or join the club. Big name retailers and stores provide us the clothes. I'm super excited to participate in the show, since it was incredibly competitive to be a part of it. Over 50 people auditioned and only half of that made it through.
The show is March 29th!

Hope y'all have a nice day, xoxo.

Just a little update...

                   Photography by Mike
This was taken for a natural hair project!

So this is just a quick little update to tell you guys that I am alive. I haven't blogged in a month and I felt like that was way too long and unacceptable. This semester of school has been super stressful. I'm double majoring in marketing and design, so I have an art project to do each week.
I don't have any cool updates to tell you guys, but definitely watch out for a outfit post hopefully later this week. I'm happy that people still took the time to check up on my blog during my unintentional hiatus.

If you want to keep up with me and my blog updates, follow me on my social media sites. They're on the top of my blog.

Hope yall had a nice day, xoxo.

Power Shot

Hey guys,
I hate wearing coats, so instead I wear a cardigan, a jean jacket and a fur vest together to keep me warm. It surprisingly works, especially when the weather is 30 degrees and above.
New York has been surprisingly cold recently and I can't stay outside for more than a few minutes even when I wear a proper coat. I'm afraid to go back to Indiana when the semester starts because the weather has been quite frightful over there.

I took these pictures with my new camera I got for Christmas. Bless my parents for even buying me a camera. I received a Canon Power Shot SX510 HS. Nothing overly fancy, but I love it regardless.
It's quite embarrassing how I can barely work a camera or even edit my pictures. It's a learning process, I assume. At least all these pictures are the same size.
I'm happy at how these pictures turn out, especially since I struggled so much at the beginning.

Hope y'all have a nice day and stay warm, xoxo.

Winter Wonderland

Hey guys,
So Jenn and I decided to do a photoshoot in the snow yesterday because there was a blizzard.
It was way too cold, but I had a lot of fun.

Since I broke my laptop, I'm using this really old one and the pictures are coming up weird. So I apologize if the quality is strange. Everything looks okay on my phone so I'm guessing it's just the computer.

Hope y'all have a great day,xoxo.
