Sweater Weather

Hey guys,

I've been seriously slacking with blogging. My birthday was last Friday, November 8th. I am officially 18, which is a scary feeling. I can get arrested and be charged as an adult. Shit's real.
I intend to do a birthday haul either later this week or next week. I also have to show you guys my birthday outfit.

This post is basically my late fall/early winter inspiration. When it's late fall/early winter, I like to curl up by the window and read a good book. Sometimes I go outside and frolic in the snow till my fingers go numb. I get to spend this time of year majority at home, so I'm excited!

 All pictures are from Tumblr.
Hope y'all had a nice day, xoxo.

P.S: I also have a  special deal from Romwe! For only 24 hrs, they are selling their Zippered Black Pannel Woolen Coat, originally $109.99, for only $ 36.99! It starts at today (Nov. 17)  at 1:00 GMT. As I am typing this, you guys have over one hour till the sale starts. Supply is limited, so definitely check it out!

Thrift Shop

 Hey guys,

So my school has these SYR dances which stand for Set Your Roommate up (originally it stood for Screw Your Roommate). Your roommate is suppose to set you up with a date and apparently that's how a lot of people met their spouses, blah blah blah. Ha, this unfortunately reminded me of high school. Actually, I'm sadly started to realize that high school never ends....

But I digress! My friend and I went with our guy friend together because we could care less about getting dates and it was last minute. The theme of our dance was Thrift Shop, so I ended up going to the thrift store and buying two shirts.

I bought this shirt and another denim shirt with small little stars. A lot of people bought outrageous clothing that they could never wear out in public. But nope, I'm a broke college student, so if I'm going to buy something, I'm going to have to wear it more than once.

I originally wore this outfit with my big cheetah print shoes seen in this post, but to make this look more wearable, I wore these wedges for the photoshoot.

Excuse the crazy hair, it was windy!
Hope y'all enjoy your day, xoxo

Tulle and Velvet

Hey guys,

So Lauren and I did another photoshoot on Friday before I left for break.
This skirt has a floral print, but the dark color and material make it look grungy instead of lively and bright. This skirt oddly reminds me of death and when I wear it, I feel like I'm mourning the end of summer. (Gosh Amber, dramatic much?)

Lauren brought a handful of tulle and I decided to just swing it around. I'm surprise at how amazing the pictures look; she's such a good photographer. Definitely check out her website, her photos are breathtaking.

Hope y'all have a nice day, xoxo.

"Amber, there is a cat on your cat!"

Hey guys!

This was the last photoshoot I did with my friend, Lauren. I like clothes that have really cheeky meanings or sayings, so when I saw these leggings, I knew I had to get them.

My mother was so bewildered that I bought these leggings...she said "Amber, there is a cat on your cat." (Hence my title). Hahaha. I received a lot of mixed comments about them, but nevertheless I love these leggings and that's all that matters.
Hope y'all have a nice day, xoxo.

Pleather Leggings and Oversized Cardigans

 Hey guys,
So this was the third photoshoot I did with my fellow classmate and photographer, Lauren. Originally, I wore this outfit with heels but I foolishly left my heels in my dorm during the photoshoot. Nevertheless, the outfit still looks amazing without the heels.
I really like this look and pleather leggings are my favorite thing ever, even if I cannot breathe in them. Ahh, the things I do for fashion....

And yes, you can obviously see my underwear line...scandalous, I know.

Hope you guys have a nice day, xoxo.

Wild Beautiful

Hey guys!
So I recently received this beautiful dress from David Klein from
Wild Beautiful Clothing. He also gave me leggings which will be posted tomorrow. I'm in love with the clothes and you guys should definitely check out the website ( I believe that the dresses are coming soon, but still check out their wonderful leggings!) I love the colors of this dress; the blues form a nice contrast against my complexion.

I met this girl in my Italian class and she's an art major. She actually asked me to take photos from my blog, so she can build her portfolio. Her name is Lauren and she's an amazing photographer. I'm simply amazed. If you're reading this, THANK YOU LAUREN!

Anyway, this dress is technically a party dress, but I wore it to school with my converses, knee high socks tights. I'm definitely testing the limits now that I'm in college. I wanted to see if you can wear a party dress to class and you CAN, if  you style it properly.

Check out my blog tomorrow to see the leggings!!

Hope y'all are having a nice day, xoxo.

Fall Wish List Part 2 + Update on my life

Hey guys,
I'm back...kinda! I'm taking a brief hiatus from blogging because I officially moved to Indiana and started college on August 23rd. I'm currently a freshman at the University of Notre Dame, which, so far, has been a surreal experience. As of right now, I don't actually have the equipment to take pictures of my daily outfits, but I'm going to try to get back into blogging regularly.

Anyway, since it's officially autumn, I decided to do my Fall Wish List Part 2!

Knee high tights

I'm currently obsessing over knee high tights. As of right now, they're my favorite item for fall. They instantly make any outfit look chic. The best part is that you can buy them at your local Walgreens or CVS.

Overalls

I'm so happy that overalls are back in style, because I've wanted a pair for the longest while. I think that the overalls shorts are so much cuter and if it's a chilly day, you can pair them with a long sleeve shirt, knee high tights and some booties. You can find this pair at F21.

Harem Pants

I just want a pair of  these harem pants so badly, they're all I talk about.  F21 has a great selection of harem pants, especially online. These pants would look so cute with a  pair of shiny, black pumps.

Jean Jackets

I recently ordered this jacket on sale from Urban Outfitters and I'm patiently awaiting it's arrival. A jean jacket is perfect for the fall and I cannot wait to style it. I'm thinking that I will cover this jacket with a shitload of pins, but I'm not sure. I don't want to ruin it!

This jean jacket sold out, but Urban Outfitters have others on sale right now! Go check them out!

Hope ya'll had a great day,xoxo.

None of these photos are mine.

Warby Parker's Fall Collection 2013 : 'Sharpen Your Wits'

“It’s just that I know the world is so wide and full of people and exciting
things that I just go crazy every day stuck in these institutions. I mean if
I don’t get started soon, how will I get the chance to sharpen my wits?
It takes lots of training. You have to start very young.”
-
Sally Jay Gorce, Elaine Dundy’s The Dud Avocado

I was personally contacted by Warby Parker to help launch their new limited edition Fall Collection and I couldn't be more excited. Believe it or not, I wear my eyeglasses 24/7, 365 days a year. So to see a new glasses collection, I'm like a kid in a shiny, new candy store.

Warby Parker just launched their new collection at 7 AM (EST) this morning. The collection reminisces back to the early 1960's, " the shaky years when social change was nearly taking off..."

The collection debuts five new frames - the Ames, Ripley, Rowan, Holcomb and Ellison- which is an obvious homage to their literary favorites. There are 15 options to choose from, both sunglasses and eyeglasses, which provide the midcentury, vintage style many search for at flea markets ( and even thrift stores!)

Each acetate frame cost $95, while both acetate and stainless steel frames cost $145. The main reason why I love this collection is because it gives back to the community; for each pair sold, a pair is given to someone in need.

Each five new frame is different; the Ames has a bold brow line and generous width, Ripley has round stainless steel- rimmed lenses, Rowan has rectangular lenses that lend a professorial authority, Holcomb has a subtle cat eye and Ellison has timeless wire accents.

These are some my favorite pieces of the collection:

   Ellison Sunglasses in Whiskey Tortoise
Holcomb Optical Glasses in Marbled Sandstone

Ripley Optical Glasses in Oak Barrel

If you love vintage, midcentury style glasses, you should definitely check out the new 2013 Fall Collection. I definitely love the whole concept behind the glasses and I'm more than excited for this collection.
