Happy Birthday Unexpressed Potential!

Photography by Mike

So today, my blog is 1 year old and I'm in complete shock that I've been blogging for a year now. One complete full year; that's freaking crazy. I know a couple of people who started blogging around the same year as me and actually lost interest and abandoned their blogs.
I'm extremely thankful for everyone who read my blog and especially to the people who comment or follow. It means so much to me that people actually like my blog.
During my first year, I got to work with the brand, Wild Beautiful Clothing, which was an amazing experience. I also did photoshoots with local photographers, which was so much fun. I'm so thankful for these opportunities! I'm obviously going to continue blogging, so you guys are (unfortunately) stuck with me.
I love everyone who reads, comments and/or follow my blog, you have no idea how grateful I am!

Hope yall have a nice day, xoxo.

Just a little update...

                   Photography by Mike
This was taken for a natural hair project!

So this is just a quick little update to tell you guys that I am alive. I haven't blogged in a month and I felt like that was way too long and unacceptable. This semester of school has been super stressful. I'm double majoring in marketing and design, so I have an art project to do each week.
I don't have any cool updates to tell you guys, but definitely watch out for a outfit post hopefully later this week. I'm happy that people still took the time to check up on my blog during my unintentional hiatus.

If you want to keep up with me and my blog updates, follow me on my social media sites. They're on the top of my blog.

Hope yall had a nice day, xoxo.

Unexpressed Potential...Literally

Recently I've been so uninspired with everything in my life and I want to do nothing but stay in my bed until my soul rots.
So overly dramatic I know...

But seriously, I'm not entirely happy with what I blog about or even my style of blogging. I feel like I'm not entirely expressing myself properly to whomever the hell reads my blog. How ironic since my blog name is Unexpressed  Potential...but unexpressed potential causes pain... and a lot of teen angst apparently.

I'm going to change a lot about this blog. In the beginning, I tried to make it more professional and stayed away from these types of posts, but now I feel like my blog is lacking something....perhaps originality... I don't know.
I'm my biggest critic and maybe I'm being extremely hard on myself...

Anyway this post are some pictures that somewhat gives me some inspiration in life.

I apologize for my ranting but I want to thank everyone who reads my blog. Some of y'all are silent readers, but I'm over 5,100 views on blogger and I'm really thankful.
I also made a Facebook page for my blog so please like it to stay updated on when I post!

Hope y'all had a great day,xoxo.

Sweater Weather

Hey guys,

I've been seriously slacking with blogging. My birthday was last Friday, November 8th. I am officially 18, which is a scary feeling. I can get arrested and be charged as an adult. Shit's real.
I intend to do a birthday haul either later this week or next week. I also have to show you guys my birthday outfit.

This post is basically my late fall/early winter inspiration. When it's late fall/early winter, I like to curl up by the window and read a good book. Sometimes I go outside and frolic in the snow till my fingers go numb. I get to spend this time of year majority at home, so I'm excited!

My Fall Wish List

Hey Guys,
Even though August only just begun, school is starting in a few weeks and before you know it, it will be autumn. I decided to do a wish list of all the items I want for this upcoming fall. I'm going to try to buy at least one item off this list.

Oversized Cardigans

I believe that an oversized cardigan is a must have for the fall and I'm surprised I don't even have one. I prefer cardigans that are either black or white, so I can wear them with anything.

Brandy Melville

Creepers

I've been looking at these shoes for a while now and I'm actually considering buying them. I'll probably wear them when I want some height, but I don't want to wear heels.

T.U.K Shoes

or

Hot Topic

Fitted Sweatpants

I want some really well fitted sweatpants, or joggers, for when I'm too lazy to wear jeans. I already planned out what I would wear with these types of sweatpants
( think really tall high heels).

ASOS

Turtleneck Crop Tops

I've been obsessing over these tops for forever and now I'm making it my prerogative to get off my lazy butt and buy one. These tops would go perfectly with high waisted shorts or skirts, paired with thigh high stockings.

American Apparel

If I buy one of the items off the list, I won't necessarily buy the exact piece of clothing shown in the pictures. The pictures are just used as references.

When the seasons actually start to change, I might do a second fall wish list.

I don't own any of these pictures.

Hope you guys enjoy your day, xoxo

Summertime Haze

This picture is actually mine!! It's me and my best friend, Chantel, at my pool party.
These are just some pictures that reminds me of summer. I've been having a pretty nice summer so far.Summer is all about making memories and I definitely been making new memories. My definition of a good summer is going on a road trip, eating all the food you want, wearing cute clothes, partying and late night swimming sessions in the pool.
What do you guys consider a good summer?
Hope you guys enjoy your day, xoxo.

Officially Over

I decided to show you guys a few pictures from my prom and graduation. I'm only showing you guys six pictures because in the other photos my eyes were either closed, I was frowning or the picture was a tad blurry. Believe it or not, I actually don't like taking a ton of photos...

This was at graduation, after I received my diploma.
My friend Deirdre sent me this picture. I thought it was so awesome that someone took a picture of us throwing our caps in the air.

On July 19th and the 21st, I had my prom and graduated from high school. It is now officially over and I cannot be more excited to go to college and start accomplishing my dreams.
Prom was a wonderful experience and I had an amazing time. After getting all dolled up and wearing a fancy dress, I felt like I was in an episode of Gossip Girl. I spent the whole night dancing and best believe I dropped like it's hot multiple times. My dress was from Faviana in eggplant. I went with an old Hollywood glamour hairstyle and makeup.

It still hasn't hit me yet that I am a high school graduate, even though I am sitting across from my diploma. It's such a surreal experience knowing that the six years I've spent at middle school and high school is now over. I'm probably never ever going to see all of my 187 classmates. It feels weird knowing that there is life outside high school.

Later this week I'm going to show you guys my after prom outfit and my graduation dress!
Hope you guys enjoyed your day, xoxo.

Enchanted

Hey guys!
This is one of the outfits I wore last week. I think that pairing the skirt and tank together gave the outfit a sort of enchanted, fairy tale feel. When I wore this look, I had my hair out, but my hair was a hot mess this morning so I tied it into a high bun.
This was the chain headband I was talking about in my Summer 2013 Must-Haves.  It's basically a simple old gold chain. I made it by linking the ends of the chain together with an infinity clasp. However, I accidentally lost the clasp so instead I tied the chain at the back.

Later this week I'm going to post two more looks from last week.

Hope you guys enjoy your day, xoxo.

My Current Obsessions...

Hey guys!
Initially I intended to do an outfit post of my favorite outfits during the last week of school. However, the pics came out extremely blurry and I can't retake them because it's going to be raining for two days. So instead I decided to show you guys what I've been obsessing over lately. These skirts are probably one of my favorite things right now. I really like clothing items that have religious paintings/images on them. I find the skirt to be unexpected and picturesque. All these skirts are from Romwe and I have yet to buy any of them because I'm a broke soon to be college freshman ( I need a job ASAP). But I promise myself that I will buy one of these skirts before I leave for college.

Retro Angel Canvas Skirt
Religious Painting Print Brown Skirt

When styling these skirts, I would probably keep my top simple. I would probably wear a crop top in blue, red or brown.  A button down blouse or lace top would also look amazing with these skirts. To be honest, the possibilities are endless. I would also definitely wear high heels with these skirts.

What are you currently obsessing over?

Hope you guys enjoyed your day, xoxo.

The End...

So I haven't blogged in a week, but I think I have a pretty good excuse. This week was my last week of high school ever. I also broke my phone so I was phoneless for 3 days. I'm not going to lie, it was torturous. Anyway, Friday ( yesterday) was my last day of high school. It was actually a pretty sad day for a lot of people, including me. Some of my fellow classmates knew each other for 13 years. They started kindergarten together and now ended high school together. I only knew them for 6 years but I was still able to form incredible bonds with a few of them.
It hasn't hit me yet that high school is really over. I did cry ( like a freaking baby too) but I still feel like I have school Monday. It's probably going to hit me when I'm boarding the plane, on my way to college... All I have to say to my younger readers that you guys really should cherish high school...it ends way too fast.

I decided to share with you guys a collage of the pictures I took on my last day of school.
